About the Author:

LesLee Ames, Yoga Therapist, Reiki Master and Dancer is a Survivor, who became an authority in the field of mind- body wisdom by using movement and studying to heal herself from Post Traumatic Stress since childhood.  As with the ancient teachings of Yoga, the methods she promotes have been tried and tested and are informed by her certifications from Living Masters at the Integral Yoga Institute, Asheville Yoga Center, the Nia Technique, and Bodyworks Pilates.  

 Ms. Ames began her career earning a Phi Beta Kappa Cum Laude BA from USC.  She has been a pioneer in her native South in the advancement of Yoga, Pilates, and Dance as the founder of WorldBeat, a non-profit for inner-city children, thru initiating programs at the Medical University of SC, and as an Adjunct Professor at the College of Charleston.  She currently volunteers at the Veterans Administration and in local schools.  She specializes in empowering those who have been struck by trauma to reclaim their lives through Intensive Workshops...
