Stress Relief Tips
To be as mentally healthy and happy as possible, cut down on the pressure with these stress relief tips and don't let stress take over. Many people today are finding their lives ruled by anxiety, tension, and pressures they feel they can't escape. It can be different 
Finding some peace is vital. Our fast paced world seems like it's causing more tension and anxiety than ever before, but we do have the ability to relieve it. And it's important because stress can become a big physical health problem, leading to emotional disorders, the worsening of GI conditions (like ulcers), higher blood pressure and many other issues. Stress can actually shorten your life. The holidays are particularly difficult for many people - intensifying any pre-existing stressors. First, Let's look at why. 1. Too Much to Do - Overwhelm and Getting Caught up in the "Doing" and festivities. 2. Expectations - Some self-imposed and others have unreal expectations related to the words Christmas and Hanukah. 3. Money - Not being able to manage the extra transactions and not having enough extra cash set aside. Fear of losing too much. 4. Fear of Being Alone or not have "the right" people in our lives to make for a Holiday Season. 5. Unresolved Family Issues - Need I say more? 6. End of "Year" and figuring it all out. Our society has created this thing called New Year's where we must close the past and begin anew. ( In the beginning of Winter?) 7. Overeating and Under- Exercised. This topic seems linked with ALL of the above. | Since Overeating and Under Exercise seem to be symptoms as well as Reasons why we get stressed during the holidays...let's tackle that first. Intend to Exercise at least 4 out of the 7 days. AND make one small adjustment like not eating cookies, leaving out Soda, or drinking more water. Write it down and commit to the Next 21 days...you will be amazed at just what setting your intention will do. Group exercise, classes, and private instruction is great, but the holiday may not be the right time to start something new or to use extra resources. Free Stress Relief Tips - You can Do Now - Walk the Dog - 35 minutes
- Put some music on and Dance around the House - 20 minutes
- Run - 20 minutes
- Yoga and Deep Breathing - 15 minutes
- Push-ups, Sit-ups, Jumping Jacks - Remember these if you don't
